On this day, when Gov. Ivey announced the opening of all restaurants, bars, gyms, barbershops, salons and non-work-related gatherings of any size, 329 new COVID cases were reported in Alabama and 14 Alabamians reportedly died of the disease. After not reporting more than 250 cases, we have now reported over 300 new cases in three out of the last four days and more than 250 cases in seven out of the last eight days. Please be respectful by wearing a mask and observing social distance when you are in a public place. Your life and the lives of those around you may depend on it.
