Today, Alabama reported 355 new coronavirus cases, a brand new record for the state. Additionally, 26 more Alabamians died of the virus today. Yet, a bill was introduced this week in the Alabama Senate to strip the Governor of certain emergency authority during the pandemic because a group of GOP senators believe Gov. Ivey is not opening up the state aggressively enough.
