There is something that has been weighing on me. My daily posts may sound like an indictment of Alabama's response to the COVID crisis. That was not my intention. I only want to encourage responsible individual behavior, like wearing masks and observing appropriate social distance, as we begin to open up. Gov. Ivey's efforts to consider medical data in many of her decisions have been commendable. Unfortunately, she ultimately caved to political pressure. Only time will tell if we all pay a price for that decision.
Below are the 14-day totals in Alabama:
5/2 - 272
5/3 - 287
5/4 - 224
5/5.- 325
5/6 - 254
5/7 - 355
5/8 - 329
5/9 - 293
5/10 -221
5/11 - 275
5/12 - 300
5/13 - 236
5/14 - 401
5/15 - 272
Big spikes in Mobile and Montgomery counties continue to be of primary concern.
