No Updates Tonight

It is 6:00 pm and ADPH has not yet posted data that are anywhere near complete. I’m not blaming ADPH because they can only post the data they receive from the labs that report to them.  Here is the ADPH’s tweet on the subject: “The number of cases reported on the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) Data & Surveillance Dashboard today are low. ADPH has been informed that a lab providing reports to us had connectivity problems earlier today.” Translation: please disregard the preliminary data posted on the ADPH website (and BamaTracker) because they are incomplete. Updates are coming.

Meanwhile, the Auburn University and the UA System dashboards have not been updated since yesterday. The startling data reported by both universities were understandably highlighted by several national media sources today. There is no denying that Alabama’s colleges and universities are facing significant challenges. Time will tell if they can meet those challenges.  In the meantime, stay calm and stay safe. And, wear your damn mask!
